I trust you are all well.
I just thought I'd give you an update on the work of the CU at the moment. Our first years are still fantastic! The attendance to our main meetings isn't dwindling as it has over the past few years, and so many of them are being real active members of our mission team.
We've heard some great news that CU members are looking to do UNCOVER with their friends or are at least finding more opportunities to share Jesus with them.
For those of you who don't know, UNCOVER is a simple series of six studies of Luke's gospel. It's been given to us by the UCCF this year as an easy method to teach our friends about Jesus. To see more about it you can watch this video http://www.uccf.org.uk/media/uncover/.
In regards to our larger outreach methods, we have two events in two weeks time that we would really appreciate your prayer for!
The first is a lunchbar on the 22nd November where we will be answering the question 'what's so amazing about grace?' The second is an evening event on the 24th November where we will be looking at 'what if my good deeds don't count?' These are linked events, so we are hoping that our guests will come along to both to get a deeper understanding of the Bibles chapter we are looking at; Galatians 3.
At the moment we're unsure about whether we will get the rooms we need, and we wont find out until just before the event where we can go, so we're having a bit of a dilemma as to what to put on our publicity. Please pray that God will use these events and bring people along despite these mishaps. It would really be appreciated!
